AA 4 Stars Guest Accommodation

Gable Lodge Guest House

Anne, Dave and Rebecca would like to welcome you to Gable Lodge, a family friendly bed and breakfast accommodation provider. We try to live as sustainably as possible and care for our local environment and also do our little bit for the planet. We are delighted to have won the Devon Federation of Small Businesses 2009 Award for Environmental Responsibility. We hold a 5 star hygiene rating from North Devon Council.

The house is a fine example of late Victorian architecture and has a Grade 2 listing. We have a beautiful front garden with lawns and cottage garden type flower beds, new patio furniture allows guests to sit outside and enjoy their breakfast or drinks outside.

Gable Lodge is open all year and has six en-suite bedrooms which are tastefully decorated and well maintained with good quality beds. We have recently installed a high pressure hot water system so that all our guests can experience a great shower.

Breakfast is included in the price, using as much locally sourced produce as possible. Good quality, traditional home cooked evening meals are available upon request again using the best of the fantastic food available within and around the Exmoor area. There is a small private car park available for guests.

The house is close to all the attractions and amenities within the town. Lynton is linked to its twin town of Lynmouth by the famous water powered cliff railway. Lynton is ideally placed to give you the best access to the North Devon Coast and the Exmoor National Park with fabulous walks near by so you can leave the car behind and enjoy the wildlife.

We welcome children of any age but regretfully cannot accept dogs.

We have fast broadband to allow you to access WiFi easily while on holiday.

Guest Reviews

Overall rating: 4.8 out of 5
We had a fantastic four days here as a base to explore the Exmoor coastline. The location is ideal for exploring Exmoor, with Valley of the Rocks and Lynmouth within walking distance, and Watersmeet a short drive away. We were conscious that having two little (and loud) people with us is perhaps not ideal for a B&B, but we were made to feel very welcome and the facilities were very child friendly. We would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again when next in the area.
